Planning Your RV Trip

Before you hit the open road, you’ll want to pre-plan your RV vacation. By mapping everything out ahead of time, you’ll be more organized and enjoy your trip without any stress. Consider following a few of these tips.

Create a Pre-Trip Plan

Do a rigorous inspection of the RVs interior, exterior, and engine to ensure everything functions correctly. It’s much better to catch a problem now than during your camping trip.

Make a Packing List

Remember, the RV is your home during the trip, so bring all the things you’d typically have at your house that’s needed for safe and comfortable camping. It’s helpful to make a packing list so you can more quickly and easily pack for your trips. No need to start from scratch every time, after all!

Meal Plan and Shopping List

Plan your meals ahead of time, so you don’t have to stop at expensive (and unhealthy) fast food joints or gas station food. You can even cook meals ahead of time and store them in your freezer, then transfer them to your RV when it’s time to hit the road.

Map Out Your Route First

Even with a smartphone GPS able to guide you, it’s still helpful to look over your route ahead of time. You can save yourself a lot of unnecessary stress by having a good road plan.
